Liuwa Plains Tour – Experience Two Migrations in One

This is one of those destinations that you did not think you will ever go to, and once you are there you wonder why you have never been. It is just a different world.

The second largest Wildebeest migration after the Serengeti happens between the mountains of Angola and the plains of western Zambia. We head out to meet the wildebeest as they arrive at the beginning of the rainy season.

During our visit we might also see the termites emerge. This brings huge flocks of summer birds. We are also in the area of massive amounts of cranes and one of the crane hotspots in the world.

If you don’t have enough leave days or feel like heading back from Liuwa, you are welcome. It is a tar road and rather straight forward. I will give you a price for the Liuwa section only if you ask me.

This is a spectacular park with large game and the very scenic Kafue river passing through. Lodge meals and great scenery. A good campsite with hot showers….

In the region of 8 million fruit bats make this their stopover and we are around to witness it. We are also close to the spot that Livingstone died and where his heart was buried. Come along and I will tell you the whole story.

We end our tour in Kasane Botswana and you have the opportunity to spend a bit of time in Chobe park in Kasane in Botswana, or even stay behind in Livingstone and visit the Victoria falls.
